friends, i found that a lot of users and also me found a problem of installing google play in HCL ME U1. there are alot of methods available in google, but all of them root the tablet, so there are alot of effects of rooting on the tablet. so today i am going to post a tutorial of installing google play in HCL ME U1. This procedure does not root your tablet Nor it voids the warranty of your tablet. This is the official method by HCL. And I guarantee that this method works perfectly if you use the correct step as i have mentioned. And i have done this on my own HCL tab. But one more thing that i don't want to hide is all ur applications and data on your tablet will be formatted. But You can be happy that You can download new Applications directly from GOOGLE PLAY STORE from now on
.......... so lets start........Step #1. Click on this link to download the File-click here
Step #2. extract the File HCL_Google_Play to your desktop.
Step #3. Open the folder and Run run MPTool.exe ( Before opening this application on windows xp or windows 7 Right click on properties and click compatibility and check the mode it must be or make it in -run this program in compatibility in windows xp sp3. and now apply the changes and again right click and run as administrator).
Step #4. Click the setting button.
Step #5. click the button for (on the right side) PAK and choose the PAK file named vortex.pak .
Step #6. Then click the Save and Return button.
Step #7. POWER OFF YOUR HCL ME U1 TABLET AND WAIT FOR 5 SECONDS AND AFTER THAT CONNECT THE TABLET USING THE MINI USB CABLE TO THE COMPUTER.
Step #8. Press the power button and the button next to it (volume+) simultaneously.
(if step 8 is successful you will get a vdfu disk) do not do anything to that then in the MPTool (which you had opened before) will show a button for scan .
Step #9. Just press Scan and again a device will get installed. Wait and after approx. 2-3 seconds next to the scan button you can see a button called Update.
Step #10. Click the update button and wait for it to complete. And your tablet will restart automatically. And let the cable still be attached to the tablet and computer and you will see a ANDROID LOGO. And below that it will format the cache and the rest automatically, you don't have to do anything. It will take sometime to boot and As its ON your HCL ME U1 is Like brand new with the GOOGLE PLAY STORE in the menu. that's it..........
